Standing around a bunch of emus while snapping away with your camera is a strange and sometimes borderline painful experience for someone who loves to soak up animal knowledge. Around every 3.4 minutes, a mother will come by and roll her child up to the chain link fence. She will then proceed to point at the large bird before exclaiming proudly (and, it appears, inevitably), "Look, an ostrich! They're BIG, aren't they?" True story.
